The NFL Goes All In on Flag

The NFL announced a $32M investment to launch a professional flag football league with both women’s and men’s divisions, signaling a real commitment to turning one of the fastest growing versions of the game into a true pro pathway.

The timing is doing exactly what it is supposed to do. Flag football hits the Olympic stage at LA 2028, and the NFL wants this league up and running well before the world is watching.

The big takeaway. This is not a test run or a nice-to-have. The NFL is building flag football with women in the blueprint from day one, putting real money and real structure behind a sport that girls have been growing quietly for years.
